Cuvée des Moines
The 3rd millennium opens up a new era for Besserat de Bellefon.
With Cuvée des Moines, the House was the forerunner of a new style of champagne in the 1930s, with a reputation for great lightness, silky froth and fine bubbles. It produces this fantastic creamy impression when poured into a flute glass.
With Cuvée des Moines, Besserat de Bellefon invites you to enjoy a wine of great elegance characterized by fine bubbles and fresh aromas.
Its incredibly light froth comes from a subtle, lower than usual dosage giving the wine a lighter pressure and an aerated, fine froth. These unique fine bubbles are the result of an exclusive winemaking technique in the Champagne appellation.
In its four styles, "Brut", "Rosé Brut", "Blanc de Blancs" and "Vintage", Cuvée des Moines is a wine that can be drunk throughout an entire meal or at any moment of the day or evening, a wine of incomparable freedom.
With grapes from the best communes in the area Aviz, Bouzy, Chouilly, Cramant, Cuis, Hautvillers, Mesnil-sur-Oger or Les Riceys -, Besserat de Bellefon can offer a Brut and a Rosé Brut almost equally balanced between Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with Chardonnay contributing only 13 to 15 % in the blend, and a 100 % Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs.
The Cuvée des Moines range also has the rather unusual peculiarity in Champagne of not undergoing malolactic fermentation.
The four cuvées also enjoy the subtle privilege of a new bottle specially designed for Besserat de Bellefon : an exclusive model with a fine, long neck inspired by an 18th Century bottle.
Besserat de Bellefon also offers Grande Tradition, a more full-bodied champagne available in the style of "Brut". The result of rare expertise, quality blending and no malolactic fermentation, it form a happy complement to the range.
Besserat de Bellefon will thus stamp the new Millennium with its refined style.
Besserat de Bellefon, an exceptional champagne of incomparable finesse.
